Bootstrapping? Looking for a quaint, laid back friendly space? Most start ups and other green businesses are looking for exactly that a place to work, to rub elbows with other smart, sharp, "go getters", "rain makers". The first time I stepped foot into this coworking space I was given a tour of the conference room, on my way down the hallway I was greeted by friendly smiles and welcoming faces; architects, designers, freelancers, everyone sharing space while managing their business. Conveniently located around the block from Bryant park, easily accessible from any location. The owner Jason and the Office Manger Nancy are very accommodating. Give them a call and try the space out. I'm sure you'll tell all your friends about it.

This place provided me with what I needed. All I wanted was a small room to make a Skype call in private in the city. I believe they charge $9.99 an hour for this. But because today was Friday it was free for me. I stayed about an hour for free made my call with internet and that was that. I will certainly come back here for future calls I need to make.

I'll give SoTechie five stars for being the most centrally located and convenient co-working space in the city! They are in the absolute center of Manhattan, on 39th street between 5th and 6th. For just $400/mo a desk, you can get 24/7 access to the space with WiFi included, separate mens' and womens' restrooms, and reliable WiFi. What really makes the place unique though is how few people know about it. I'm so reluctant to let the cat out of the bag, but I do need to maintain by Elite Yelper status! We have never had a problem booking the conference room or holding large meetings. Also, unlike many Silicon Alley spaces, the other companies here seem to be very diverse. I swear at one point our fellow residents included some telemarketers cold-call pitching small business loans. There are also enclosed office spaces large enough to fit mattresses (and people do sleep there). All in all, it's a very different experience from your WeWork or General Assembly. If you want to ensure you will not be in the Web 2.0, social media, local / mobile echo chamber, SoTechie is your oasis.
